How can I request a transcript?

This step-by-step guide helps you easily submit a request and obtain your transcripts, ensuring accurate and timely results for your audio files.

1. Create a new Request

In the left side menu, locate the "Transcripts" option. Simply click on the "+" sign to begin creating your ticket

2. Set Up Ticket Specifications

You will then be taken to a window where you will be asked to provide the specific details for your audio file.

Step 1: Transcript specifications

  • Transcript Name: The title desired for your Transcription.
  • Number of Speakers: Add the number of participants.
  • Source Language
  • Target Language
  • Turnaround Time: In this section, you can select either Standard or Rush Service to meet your specific transcription timeline needs.
  • Triggering Content: Informs our transcriptionists in advance, allowing them to be mentally prepared for the material they will transcribe.

  • Select Project or Create a New Project: Choose an existing project for your transcript or create a new project specific to it.
  • Select Folder or Create a New Folder: Choose an existing folder for your transcript or create a new folder specific to it.
  • Select Participant or Create a New Participant: Choose an existing participant for your transcript or create a new participant

4. Transcript Dynamics

  • File Format: doc, docx, xlsx, PDF, txt, RFT, SRT
  • Timestamps
  • Strict Verbatim or Non-verbatim Transcription
  • Number lines / Non-vernacular Data Capture
  • Track Speakers: Select this option if you need a different label per participant
  • Speaker Labels
  • De-Identification
  • Additional notes

5. Upload your Media File

Select the option 'Click to Upload or drag and drop' and start uploading your recordings.

You can add 1 or more files to associate with each request.

If you do not wish your whole Audio to be transcribed, please select the checkbox 'I want to set start/stop times for these media files' and set up the right time.

Step 6: Confirm your order

Review all your information and click on 'Finish: Submit' to submit your order.

7. Create a new Ticket or wait for your Ticket to be processed

Final transcript status

You can keep creating tickets with the same setup, create new ones from scratch, or simply wait for your tickets to be processed.
